TURNING CLOTHING INTO GEAR!
Sitka Gear was born from the belief that the experience of hunting is as important — if not more important — than the harvest. Going places few people go and enduring weather that keeps most hunters home is the fabric of Sitka Tribe. We live for the uncommon experiences and awe-inspiring moments found through the pursuit. Hunting offers a focus rarely afforded to us in the constant distraction we face in our day-to-day lives. It provides a meaningful connection to the wild around us, and it awakens the wild still within us. This connection grounds us, gives us much-needed perspective, and shapes our lives far beyond a day spent in the field.
SITKA CONCEALMENT SYSTEMS
The GORE OPTIFADE Concealment Waterfowl Timber pattern isn’t simply ground camo, rather scientifically engineered to confuse the birds vision while in motion from above tricking waterfowl to see nothing. Because water reflects both the brightness of the sky and the dark underside of the canopy, the pattern displays areas of high contrast. As a bird descends closer to the hunter, its environment darkens, which is represented in the pattern’s overall darker appearance.
The GORE OPTIFADE Concealment Waterfowl Marsh pattern is designed for layout and blind hunting in the marsh, standing crops, or cut stubble fields. While most patterns are designed as though the bird is on the ground looking at the hunter, the Marsh pattern takes into account with a swirling effect that the birds are usually above the hunter in flight, and are in constant motion. The optimal engagement distance is between 35 yards and 45 degrees and steeper angles.
The GORE OPTIFADE breaks the mold by using a digitally rendered blend of micro and macro patterns to fool animal vision. Created by a renowned team of camouflage and animal vision experts, GORE OPTIFADE Concealment takes into account how elk and mule deer see when looking through vegetated terrain. GORE OPTIFADE Subalpine is designed specifically for stalking and ambushing ungulates from ground level in vegetated terrain and is optimized for engagement ranges of 50 yards and less.
The GORE OPTIFADE Concealment Open Country technology scientifically engineered to confuse the vision of elk, mule deer, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats. It offers maximum concealment when stalking among rocks, brush, and scattered trees at ground level. It is designed for engagements of forty yards or less in this terrain. The emphasis is on the larger neutral areas of the pattern (macro-pattern) which are more critical to concealment at the greater engagement ranges imperative to hunting in the backcountry.

How To Take Your Measurements?
1 – Sleeve Measure
Bend your elbows and put your hand on your hip. Measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the shoulder and down the elbow to the wrist bone.
2 – Check Size
Wrap the tape measure under armpits, around the fullest part of your chest. The tape measure should be snug, not so tight that it constricts breathing, yet not so loose that the tape measure slides down. Don’t puff out your chest. Stand relaxed while measuring.
3 – Waist Size
Measure your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your abdomen, between your ribcage and hips. Stand relaxed while measuring
4 – Hip Size
For hip circumference, measure around your fullest point, approximately 8″ below your natural waist.
5 – Inseam
In a standing position, measure from your crotch to where you want your pants to end, breaking at the top of the shoe in the front and just above the heel in the back.
6 – Gloves
With hand partially closed, measure over the knuckles and around the hand, excluding the thumb.
**If Waist and Hip measurements do not match up on the chart, choose a size that is between the two and find the best fit. Ex 1: If your waist measures 28″ and your hip measures 40″, typically the best fit would be a size 29. Ex 2: If your waist measures 27.5″ and your hips measure 38″, typically the best fit would be a size 28.
